For the second consecutive year, Women in Mining Sudbury is proud to host the Mining for Diversity Gala, scheduled for November 13, 2025. As part of this inspiring evening, we will celebrate the achievements of women in mining through the Mining for Diversity Awards.
These awards are a celebration of the exceptional contributions and achievements of women in the mining industry. Our mission is to highlight the accomplishments of women who have demonstrated leadership, innovation, and dedication to advancing the mining industry. This event serves as a platform to showcase their achievements, inspire future generations, and promote diversity and inclusion within the sector.

The Groundbreaker Award celebrates women working on the front lines of mining operations, from the face to the field. This award recognizes the achievements, resilience, and impact of women who demonstrate excellence in operational roles, including mining, trades, and technical services.

The Mentorship Award recognizes and celebrates the mentors and coaches, regardless of their gender, who have supported, encouraged, guided, and advised women along their journeys in the Mining industry, either in school or in their careers. Breaking into a new field is a daunting task at best, and the mining world presents numerous complexities.
