Women in Mining Sudbury (WIM Sudbury) is a provincially incorporated not-for-profit which aims to unify and elevate women who work in the mining industry in Greater Sudbury and surrounding communities as well as attract more women into this rewarding industry.
Our chapter is built around four main principals:
Advocating for equality in the industry and celebrating companies that are taking active steps to promote diversity in the workplace.
Connecting experienced professionals with students and early career individuals to educate and inspire the next generation.
Building a cross-disciplinary network and providing individuals with support and resources through social events and engagement with other local organizations.
Giving back to our community by participating in local charity events and providing bursaries for students pursuing an education related to mining.
